Transformation field analysis of interfacial decohesion

Abstract
A simple straight-forward procedure is outlined to study the effect
of fiber-matrix decohesion on redistribution of average stress and
strain fields in two-phase composite medium. In the present theory
a general idea of transforming the nonuniform change in local fields
into equivalent eigenstrains is implemented within the framework of
Dvorak's Transformation Field Analysis. This approach proves to be
advantageous, particularly in extension to modeling of decohesion
processes into laminates.
